Gasquet lost his sixth consecutive final in Montpellier
The host`s representative Luca Puy won the tennis tournament in the French city of Montpellier. Undertaker Number 2 beat the final over his compatriot Richard Gaske with 7:6 (2), 6:4 in 87 minutes.
The 23-year-old Puy scored 10 aces and did not give any chance for a rival in the match to win the first season title and fifth in his career. Fifth in the Guske circuit reflected five chances for a break in the first set, but in the tieback he was hesitant and lost 2:7 points.
Puy realized the only breakthrough in the 3:2 match by tennis picks in the second part, then retained his advance to record a fourth success in five matches against the opponent.
31-year-old Gasquet for the sixth consecutive year in the Montpellier final, but with three titles won in 2013, 2015 and 2016. He has a total of 14 trophies in his career, the last of which in October 2016 in Antwerp.
