Sport picks Lando Norris: Red Bull has no problems. The others just got closer

The McLaren driver believes that Red Bull did not lose speed - it was just that the other teams caught up with the leader in pace.
I don`t think Red Bull had any serious difficulties. They weren`t in contention to win, but Max [Verstappen] was within two-tenths or two-and-a-half-tenths of a second of pole. All in all, he didn`t have a bad weekend. It`s just that Ferrari was very fast, and we were between them - just like in the previous two races.
Red Bull has no problem. It`s just that the others have gotten closer, so it feels like they`re having difficulty. But the fact is that we and Ferrari are faster than them, and they are just not as fast as they used to be.
Even without the team`s problems, Max is still not on the podium - and this hasn`t happened in the last couple of years. I know it`s amazing, it`s great to see different people on the podium, as harsh as that may sound.
It`s also nice for people to see [the different drivers on the podium] and it`s nice for the other pilots to know that they have opportunities. I think this is all great for the championship, " Norris said.
Lando also expressed dissatisfaction with the judges` decision to return Carlos Sainz to third place before the restart.
Carlos was lucky with the red flags because he was almost eliminated or was last. It`s his own fault. But his return irritated me, because it dropped me to fourth place. In a red flag situation, you either win or lose. Sometimes it helps you, and sometimes it hurts you.
He drove into Oscar [Piastri] and got a puncture. I don`t think it was done in the most fair way, but I`m sure there were times in the past when I might have benefited from similar situations - when you might get your car fixed or something like that.
When you think about it directly, it`s frustrating and seems unfair because someone makes a mistake and because of a certain number of cars - or whatever the rule is - that didn`t cross the line before the red flags and blah blah. It`s as if his mistake never happened and he gets a free pit stop. This is unfair.
